yopolo privacy policy

effective September 2026

1. what we collect

your email address, your chosen alias, and the phone number on an invite when one is sent to you. during matching, your location is used briefly and then discarded.

2. how it is used

email is used for sign-in and account access. aliases identify you on reservation lists. location is used only at the moment of matching to confirm proximity — it is not stored or tracked over time.

3. temporary data

matching data is temporary by design. location checks time out and are removed once a match completes or expires.

4. what other users see

other users never see your wallet, email, phone number, or location. the only thing visible to others is the alias you choose to place on a reservation list.

5. sharing

we do not sell your data. we do not share your data with third parties except service providers required to operate the app (such as hosting and authentication), and only as needed.

6. security

sensitive records are stored in hashed or cryptic form and protected by access controls. no method is perfectly secure, but the service is designed to expose as little as possible.

7. your choices

you control your alias and your reservation check-ins. you may stop using the service at any time.

8. changes

this policy may be updated. continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
